LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE
Lines of longitude and latitude are invisible lines vertically and horizontally around the world. They are used to figure out how to get somewhere. Latitude starts at 0 degrees at the equator and it never goes higher than 90 degrees. Longitude starts at 0 degrees at the Prime Meridian and doesn’t go higher in degree than 180 degrees. Coordinates are at the intersection of latitude and longitude. We determine it when it’s measured in degrees.

Longitude and latitude is a system of lines to find the location of any place on a flat surface of the earth. One set of lines, longitude, runs north and south. Another set of lines, latitude, runs east and west. We use them for pinpointing the same location of any kind of place in a global map. Longitude and latitude lines divide the two hemispheres (sections) of the earth. Longitude and latitude means any location on Earth can be described by two numbers, latitude runs from 0 degrees to 90 degrees. Latitude means later and helps you move north to south.
