How would you like to change the educational system?  What if you made a way to enable the upper and lower class citizens able to obtain equality in education? There is an organization that wants to achieve this, Teach for America! Holly Trifiro is the executive director of TFA. She is a wonderful woman who brings joy and love to our Cleveland community. She loves to “help kids who can’t get a good education because they have low income”. She has a great impact on our community and we should appreciate all that she does to improve education in Cleveland. She strives to help our children get a better education. She also wants kids to know someone cares for them and they have a bright future!

Trifero is the Executive Director for Teach for America. According to Trifero “I have worked so hard to get to where I am now”. Her love of children is why she chose this career, plus she” thought it would be a good experience”. She believes it’s unfair if the upper class people get a better education than those living in poverty. She recalls seeing that as the years went on and on and knew she had to put a stop to the disparity in education. I think she can kind of relate to that considering that she was born and raised in on unfair educational system. She was born in Southington, Ohio and she recalled “my brother was wiggly in the back of the classroom and did not learn how to read until the sixth grade’’. This made a big impact on how she viewed the education world and wanted to make a change.

Holly Trifiro enjoys working with her students. She thinks it’s a great way to get to know them and learn what they already know and how she can make them better and learn more. “I hope someday that all kids, no matter what their background is have access to an excellent education”. She what recalled her teacher days, the most was the relationships with my students and getting to know them and their families in the community.” She really loves her job and would not trade it for anything in the world!” Now how awesome is that?

Triofrio as Executive Direction of Teach for America makes sure that the kids get a good education. Before the job she works at now, she used to teach students. Now she is teaching teachers to make sure that they are teaching the students and making sure that the teachers understand it as well by going over all her new concepts that she has learned to make it easier for the teachers and students. Then when she is done teaching them they go off to teach the students and that’s when the teacher can teach for two years. When those two years are up they can do whatever they want to do, and chose another career or they can continue to teach those wonderful students.

Holly hopes that she can make all kids know that she believes in them and that she wants them to succeed and go to college and become a doctor or layer just whatever their heart desires. To build their confidence up. She also wants them to know that there are people here for them and just because you are not the richest person or the poorest person you can still strive to be that best and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Holly is an amazing wife and mother! Holly and her husband have been together for seven years. They have an awesome cute little baby boy named Tate who is six month old. She’s not the only one in this family who works in the educational system. Holly’s husband Mr. Trifiro is a science teacher. She went to Chalker high school. Some goals that she has for her child would be to “Go to college and know about the world and know that he has something to contribute”. How does she manage being an amazing mother and executive direction I don’t know? But somehow she can manage it all.

Holly Trifiro is a Cleveland renaissance person because she strives to make every kid have a good education and also know that you don’t have to be rich or poor to have a good education I hope that you take something from this and know how special she is and what she does for our community and children to make a difference.
