Do you know how important Julie Hill and her work is to Cleveland? She can help expand companies and can help make jobs in Cleveland bigger and better. She helps with the banking needs of many local companies. Through her work with Engage! Cleveland, she is helping young professionals find jobs in Cleveland.

Julie Hill is vice president and Relationship Manager of PNC bank. She works with different companies to support their banking needs. When she was younger she wanted to be an artist, and make jewelry. She said “I didn’t realize the business connection to my interests then though.” Companies that she works with are growing and expanding in Cleveland. That makes Cleveland a better place to live and work for everyone. She helps companies be able to grow and make progress they couldn’t make without a banking partner. For example, the company might need a loan to grow its business.

Julie Hill said “Personally, I have a passion for success for Cleveland.” Companies she works with are growing and expanding in Cleveland. So they make Cleveland a better place to live and work for everyone. This is a reason why she is a part of the organization, Engage! Cleveland. “The mission of engage is to attract and retain talent in Cleveland. Especially young professionals: 20 to 40 years old. Also, to connect people with jobs and activities here in Cleveland.  Opportunities to encourage further development of the city –volunteer with something and share its development.”

We asked Ms. Hill what are some advantages and disadvantages of Engage! Cleveland. She answered, “One advantage of Engage! Cleveland is meeting different people with a passion for the city’s well-being.”  “A disadvantage is learning about the doubt that some Clevelanders have.” Then she gave an example about the complaints about why they don’t use the lakefront more. “I’m most proud of the difference that I have helped make on educating young professionals about what Cleveland has to offer and also the business.”

“I hope that businesses see banks as partners. Not only for loans, but as ways to extend their reach through partnerships. For example, they might need lawyers, accountants, etc. Without partners they might not make the best decisions; but with the right partners they could accelerate their growth and success. I can connect business with partners. Partners can help with products and services to enhance business operations; for example, technology use.” Another idea for the future, she stated, was “For my job, I’d like to bring in new businesses, especially businesses which have been with a smaller bank which can no longer meet their needs.”

Julie Hill is a Cleveland Renaissance contributor because her ideas for the future will positively impact the people looking for jobs in our city. Julie Hill does lots of things that could affect the future for people who want to make Cleveland succeed, and she loves it.
